About the artist:

Born in Czech Republic, completed four year Fine Arts program at Prague, Czech Republic.

Moved to Canada in 1985. Studied two years at the Ottawa School of Arts.

Moved to Algoma Region in 1996 and currently resides in Wabos.

Taught for two years as an instructor in the Visual Arts department at Sault College, 1998/1999 school seasons.

Her work has been shown locally at the Art Gallery of Algoma in Sault Ste. Marie.

Winner of "Bon Soo" Winter Festival juried art show, Winter 1998. Best of show and best design award Algoma Arts Festival Association "Festival of the Arts", Fall 1997. Award the McDonald Club Scholarship, Spring 1996. This scholarship is awarded annually in recognition of artistic achievement.

Is currently on of nine commissioned artists in Canada for the Canadian Heraldic Authority, Office of the Secretary to the Governor General. This work involves the design and painting of Coats of Arms, Flags and Badges for individuals as well as cities and corporations.

Skilled in many different disciplines including: painting, drawing, sculpting, and print making.
